Correy not quite ready to announce
I would start by thanking the recall team for their efforts in mounting what was seemingly an insurmountable task. They did something that few thought they could do and for that the town owes them gratitude as that is a result of their passion for the town.
I am not here to announce anything. I’ve said since the winter that I plan to run for the seat currently occupied by Dan Freitas and as of the moment I write this, that seat is still occupied by him. He has served this town for many years and is still serving. There is a level of respect that comes with that. How can I speak to integrity and professionalism while declaring my candidacy for a seat that isn’t yet available to run for?
However my vision hasn’t changed and when that seat is available I will officially declare my candidacy and put energy behind those events. Until then, I have reached out to Brad Fish (Veteran’s Services Officer) to make myself available to help with his Memorial Day efforts.
