Andersen Demonstrates Unwavering Commitment
I am writing to offer my full endorsement of Erik Andersen in his bid for re-election to the Fairhaven School Committee. Over the past four years, Erik has proven to be an invaluable asset to our community and has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the betterment of Fairhaven Schools.
As a member of the School Committee, Erik has championed key initiatives that have had a lasting impact on our students and teachers. Under his leadership, we’ve seen the implementation of Unified Sports, the recognition of our AP Department at the state level, a revitalization of the Music Department, and the expansion of after-school enrichment programs.
Most recently, Erik’s dedication helped our district achieve a historic milestone by becoming the first fully accredited school district in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This achievement speaks volumes about the quality of leadership he provides.
What truly sets Erik apart is his background as a licensed mental health therapist. His deep understanding of emotional development and regulation for students, paired with his career experience in crisis work, social work, and substance abuse counseling, has allowed him to advocate for the mental well-being of all students.
Erik’s passion for public education, high standards, and equity for all students is evident in everything he does. He has always prioritized transparency, integrity, and dedication in his work, both as a member of the School Committee and as an active volunteer in our community. Whether coaching Mariners Soccer, participating in local fundraisers, or attending Town Meetings, Erik consistently goes above and beyond to make Fairhaven a better place.
I wholeheartedly support Erik Andersen for re-election to the Fairhaven School Committee. His leadership, vision, and dedication will continue to ensure that Fairhaven Schools remain a place where students thrive, regardless of the challenges they may face.
