Letter: Trump vs. Biden

September 1, 2021 by Staff Writer

President Biden together with his cabinet and military leaders are rapidly destroying America’s respect and preeminence in the world. I can guarantee you our standing is at its lowest point in history.

This debacle in Afghanistan would never have happened if Donald Trump was still in power.

He had plans worked out together with Mike Pompeo, his secretary of state, and chief of staff of armed forces Kellogg who comes from a military family and had real combat experience in the Gulf and Iraq wars. We are being led by a president with no military experience and the same is true of many of his staff.

Our present situation in Afghanistan is like a rudderless ship floundering around in the ocean.

Trump put America’s interests and safety first. He knew that peace was never secured through appeasement and concession. Your enemies have to respect and fear you.

Trump would have withdrawn from Afghanistan in an orderly and measured manner, making sure that American civilians and Afghan collaborators wouild have been evacuated first. He wouldn’t have abandoned the Afghan army and the Afghan women the way Biden did. He would have held onto the air bases which support the Afghan army.

We will be in a more perilous situation since September 11, 2001, the Taliban Al Qaeda and ISIS will be in control in Afghanistan. They will be in control of all military bases and armaments we we’ll be leaving behind. Worse yet, they will have the psychological advantage of saying you can’t trust America.

How did Donald Trump earn respect for America and why did our enemies fear him?

I would like to present a few examples. The brutal dictator of Syria was using poisonous gas on his citizens. Obama warned him he’d be crossing a red line if he used it. Assad used it. Obama did nothing. He tried it with Trump. Trump launched 10+ cruise missiles destroying his bases.

North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong-un, who starved millions of his subjects, was developing his nuclear arsenal and the missiles to deliver them. There was a false resport of an incoming missile headed toward Hawaii. People panicked putting their children down man holes. What did Trump do? He told Kim he had a bigger button that his and his worked. He put two aircraft carriers off his coast. Kim backed down.

He took out Iran’s second in command Soleimani who was responsible for the death of thousands of American soldiers. He took out the leader of al Qaeda al-Baghdadi.

He tore up the nuclear agreement with Iran with no real inspections. Obama spent billions on flights in the dark of night so secure it.

Our southern border with Mexico is wide open. Drugs, criminals, gang members, COVID infected people are pouring in. With no vetting or restrictions. Soon terrorists will be crossing. We are in a more perilous situation than we were in September 11, 2001.

My hope and prayer is that this letter can in some way inform people and shake them out of their apathy. The stated goal of those now in control in Afghanistan is to kill Americans and wipe Israel off the map.
