Support Leon Correy
I am submitting this letter to the voting public in Fairhaven to urge them to support and vote for Leon Correy in this upcoming April election.
Fairhaven is undergoing a transformational political change. As a result of the recent political upheaval the Town will now be governed by five Select Persons, a change from three historically. Whether this change is beneficial, good or bad, only time will tell. I reference this issue due to the fact it represents a major change in governance and will require strong, skilled, dedicated leadership to “get it right.”
I urge the voters to elect Leon Correy as he is a leader who will “get it right.”
He brings to this community the skills and dedication required to be a Select Person. Having earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, he possesses particular skills that will be extremely valuable in dealing with the anticipated multi-million projects, i.e. water/sewage EPA issue and the projected Public Safety Complex
Given the current state of our economy, i.e. out of control inflation and its effect upon the unemployed, families and our growing senior population, the Town’s ongoing fiscal responsibilities and resources are going to be impacted and we will benefit from someone with Leon’s perspective and skills.
Leon Correy’s commitment to Fairhaven is exemplified by his membership/involvement with a number of important Town committees and initiatives, including Fairhaven Forward, Belonging, the Town Administrator Screening Committee, and the Sustainability Committee
Leon Correy’s commitment to Fairhaven is palpable. He lives in Fairhaven, his children are educated in Fairhaven, and he is involved in the community. He has made Fairhaven his home. He is one of us.
I strongly urge you to vote for Leon Correy in April, as it will be in your best interests as a citizen and it most certainly will be in the best interests of Fairhaven.
Bernard F. Roderick, Fairhaven
