Re-elect McKenna and Veitch
Over the last number of years there have been some remarkable improvements to the Fairhaven public schools and the administration and school committee should be applauded.
Some of these accomplishments include:
• The positive progression towards academic excellence
• We became a one to one district by providing Chromebooks to all high school students
• The addition of early childhood/ preschool programs at the Wood school
• Investments in programs to support the social and emotional well-being of students
• Physical improvements to the middle school from new windows, roofs, and doors to new floors and ceilings
• At the high school new physical improvements included new lighting systems along with a new dehumidification system in the gym and approval for a multi-sport turf field.
• Finally, and most importantly, Robert Baldwin was named Massachusetts superintendent of the year in 2020
All of these accomplishments have come to fruition because of the hard working relationship between the school administration and the Fairhaven school committee.
The present school committee has impressed me because of these successes and more importantly because of the professional and dignified manner in which they have conducted business. The board has always been respectful while allowing the general public to always express their concerns and give their opinions.
It is because of their wonderful behavior and stated accomplishments that I enthusiastically recommend the reelection of Donna McKenna and Colin Veitch for Fairhaven School Committee.
Please vote and let your voice be heard on April 5th !
Mark Badwey, Fairhaven
