Powers is Thoughtful Listener
I am writing to express my support for Sean Powers in his candidacy for the Fairhaven Planning Board. As a proud alum of the Fairhaven school system, I have had the privilege of knowing Sean for over 40 years. Throughout that time, he has consistently demonstrated a level-headed and community-minded approach in all that he does.
Professionally, I have worked alongside Sean and can personally attest to his integrity, responsiveness, and expertise in his role as an I.T. professional. He is a thoughtful listener who carefully evaluates information before making decisions — qualities that are invaluable in town government.
Sean has a deep understanding of Fairhaven’s past, present, and future. He remembers a time when Alden Road was pastureland and when the Stop & Shop Plaza was a bowling alley. Yet, he also recognizes the need for responsible growth. As he has stated, “Balance must be met by promoting smart, responsible growth that benefits residents and businesses alike.”
This balanced approach is essential to preserving our town’s rich history while ensuring a bright future for generations to come.
Fairhaven is more than just a place to live for Sean — it’s home. He chose to raise his family here and is deeply invested in our community. I have no doubt that he will serve as a responsible and thoughtful steward of Fairhaven’s future.
