Letter Pence is most hypocritical sycophant

December 7, 2022 by Staff Writer

Mike Pence is the most hypocritical sycophant

The scent of the presidency has turned the most fawning, hypocritical, Trump enabler into one of his most recent critics.

Defying all ethical principles for all of Trump’s presidency and even in the face of Trump’s inspired threats to his life, former Vice President Mike Pence was essentially silent and loyal to the most dangerous person to have ever occupied the White House.

The photographed and videoed images of Pence smiling and groveling next to, or reverently several steps behind Trump, can never be erased and will torpedo all his efforts to win the presidency.

Those who worship and adore Trump will find his criticisms the final betrayal, and those that detest Trump will never forgive or forget the part Pence played in protecting and enabling this megalomaniac.

Pence’s appearance and calm tone of voice may make him seemingly well suited to be president, but such flagrant opportunism and hypocrisy will not withstand media focus and comedic attention.

There is minimal constituency for Trump critics who previously embraced, endorsed and enthusiastically worked on his behalf.

A Never-Trumper, or a more articulate clone, may seize the Republican nomination but a flip-flopper of such magnitude will be summarily dismissed by the unforgiving MAGA voters.

Like the wave that appears at sporting events, once Trump devises a comedic adjective for Pence, such as half pence, or pathetic Pence, the base will adopt and disseminate the new name, chanting it endlessly until Pence retreats in shame.

Trump has been defined as a sociopathic narcissist and may be constitutionally incapable of controlling his behavior, but no one suggests that Pence suffers from any easily definable malady except naked opportunism, and clearly he can control his actions, even in the face of death threats.

The last election cycle has demonstrated that a certain degree of sanity has been restored and that many usually apathetic voters can be aroused and threatened by rank opportunism portrayed as patriotism.
