Manzone Supports Romano
I would like to submit this letter of support for Andrew Romano for Select Board. I was telephoned by Mr. Romano, and had a very pleasant conversation about our community. We discussed the many issues the Town was facing at that time and I did explain to him my feelings toward those issues. I spoke of my experiences as a past Select Board member and the many complex parts of the job. I explained what this Town means to me, and how it was important to bring people together.
Mr. Romano spoke of his involvement within the community and his views about bringing people together. Keep in mind to this point I had not met this gentleman, we were speaking together for the first time. He spoke of his involvement with the North Fairhaven Improvement Association and his willingness to make a difference.
Caring about people was not only something he would do once elected, it was something he continues to do every day.
While we have many good candidates, I was truly impressed by the generation Andrew would represent. Andrew could motivate other younger folks to community service. People say the younger generation never get involved, well, here is a truly motivated, educated and caring individual at our doorstep. I feel this is what we really need at this time, a true representative of the future of this community.
Our community has struggled with filling the boards and commissions. We need to stimulate the importance of community service, Andrew would make a great ambassador for this mission. Andrew will bring positive energy to our Select Board, something we can all agree we need.
I have always believed that you will only have good government by electing good people.
Please join me in voting for Andrew Romano, he will continue to make a real difference for all of us, today and tomorrow.
