Bueno Says Farewell to School Committee
I resigned from the School Committee as I’m relocating to Washington, D.C. for work.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve on the School Committee these past 4 years. It’s an honor to give back to our students and schools as a fellow Blue Devil alumna.
Thank you for welcoming me into your homes during campaign seasons, saying hello at events, and sharing your ideas about how to move our schools and community forward.
I also want to thank Beth David for her exceptional coverage of all events in Fairhaven. We must do all we can to support Beth and her Fairhaven Neighborhood News work. Local journalism is important to ensure we hold local leaders accountable and know what is going on in town.
We have accomplished so much together. Some of these accomplishments include developing a K-2 literacy program, enhancing our social and emotional programs, cultivating strong relationships with our Police and Fire departments, creating a Family Center for families to access wraparound services, installing a state-of-the-art Turf field at the High School, initiating a Charter Committee, displaying the Pride Banner at Town Hall every June, and coming out of a global pandemic stronger than ever before.
I’m confident our Fairhaven Public School system is stronger than ever before thanks to our amazing leadership. Fairhaven is so fortunate to have Superintendent Tara Kohler, Assistant Superintendent Mark Balestracci, Business Manager Nicole Potter, Executive Assistant Sheri Souza, leading the helm. Their passion for all students shows through their programs, thoughtful ideas, and kindness.
If you want to stay in touch, please continue following me on my Facebook page: Kyle Bueno.
Fairhaven will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you!
Kyle Bueno, Fairhaven
