I just wanted to express my gratitude that after all the hype about hurricane Henri, it looks like our town suffered no serious tree damage from the storm.
I don’t know if my thanks go to the new tree warden, Eversource power company, the BPW, or all of the above.
I did notice that a number of trees have recently been removed, including one right across the street from my house which looked like it had very little life left in it and was very likely a hazard to the power wires.
I don’t know who makes the decisions about planting new trees and taking down bad ones, but thank you.
