FAIRHAVEN TOWN HALL SITE WALL RESTORATION FAIRHAVEN, MA
INVITATION TO BID
The Select Board of the Town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the restoration of site walls at the Fairhaven Town Hall located at 40 Center Street in Fairhaven, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by architects the Spencer Preservation Group.
The scope of the work includes: Restoration of existing stone masonry retaining wall to include dismantling of existing and rebuilding.
General bidders must be DCAMM certified in the category “Historic Masonry” or “Historic Building”. All bids must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Update Statement. General Bidders shall have completed similar work on at least 3 buildings listed in the State Register of Historic Places within the past 5 years.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at www.biddocsonline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested) beginning on August 27, 2025.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, on September 3, 2025 at 11:30 AM.
While attendance is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.149, §44A through 44H, as amended.
Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive.
Attention is further directed to the requirements of G.L. c.149, §44D requiring submission of a Division of Capital Asset Management-approved Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement with all bids.
Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
