Legal Notice: Fairhaven Public Schools invitation for sealed bids

FAIRHAVEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS 

INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS

The Fairhaven Public Schools, hereafter referred to as the “Awarding Authority,”  invites sealed bids for the Fairhaven High School Historic Wood Window Restoration for the Fairhaven School District until 11:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, May 6, 2022*. To request electronic copies of the bid documents please email john@ spencerpreservationgroup.com.  

The Fairhaven School Department seeks to engage an experienced and qualified contractor to accomplish the restoration of designated historic wood window sashes and sills at the Fairhaven High School, located at 12 Huttleston Avenue. The contractor must provide evidence of similar projects available for inspection. These projects should have similar conditions to those required for this project. A non-mandatory, exterior-only site visit will be held at the school on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10:00 am. All work must be completed on or before August 30, 2022. 

Bids must be sealed and plainly marked “FHS Wood Window Restoration.” Bids will be received at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools up to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, and will be opened and read aloud.

*If at the deadline for receipt of responses, the School Department is closed due to inclement weather or other unforeseeable events, the deadline will be post­poned until 10:00 a.m. the next normal business day.

Fairhaven Public Schools reserves the right to waive any or all informalities in the RFP process and to reject any or all proposals if it is considered to be in the best interest of the Fairhaven Public Schools to do so.
