PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Fairhaven Conservation Commission

Monday, September 21, 2026 at 6:00pm 

Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center Street

Fairhaven, Massachusetts 

Notice is hereby given that the Fairhaven Con­serva­tion Commission will conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 131, § 40) and the Code of the Town of Fairhaven Chapter 192, Wetlands Bylaw. The meeting will be located at Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA.  

In-person attendance is permitted for the public and will be televised live on Fairhaven TV Channel 97 and fairhaventv.com.To Join the meeting remotely Log on to the following:

The agenda will be posted on the Town’s website at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. 

Copies of the applications and site plans may be viewed at the Conservation Office in Town Hall, located at 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA and links to the applications are on the Town Website under current filings.  

a. CON 023-591, SE 023-1539: 10 Oxford Street, Map 12, Lot 2 Notice of Intent filed by James L. & Renee P. Novakoff to construct a 4’ wide x 75’ long pile-supported timber pier with a 3.33’x20’ aluminum gangway and a 10’x20’ float. Supports will consist of 12” diameter southern yellow pine (P.T.); total of 8 sup­port piles. The pier will have a cantilevered seat­ing bench on the north side near its seaward end. The deck will be set at elevation 6.5’.  

b. CON 023-592, SE 023-__: 48-50 Fort Street, Map 5, Lot 16 Notice of Intent filed by Kevin McLaughlin (Rodman Candle Works Realty, LLC) which pro­poses the following: removal of the easternmost float system; installation of (2) floats to the west of the main wharf including a 10’x135’ float and a 14’x50’ float; installation of two 7’x20’ travel lift pier extensions and two 6.6’x10’ pier extensions; and an 8’x60’ float with 3’x25’ ramp to replace the 5’-8’x150’ pile-supported pier to the north. In addition, the existing wave break will be removed and a 10’x80’ anchored wave break will be installed as a replacement.
