PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Fairhaven Conservation Commission

Monday, March 13, 2023 at 6:00pm 

Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center Street

Fairhaven, Massachusetts 

Pursuant to Chapter 22 of the Acts of 2022 (extension), public bodies will continue holding meetings remotely without a quorum of the public body physically present at a meeting location, but will now provide “adequate/alternative” access to members of the public. In-person attendance is permitted for the public at Town Hall at 40 Center Street

The Fairhaven Conservation Commission will hold the following Public Hearing pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 131, s. 40) and the Code of the Town of Fairhaven Chapter 192, Wetlands:

1. CON 023-343: 6 Camel Street, Assessor’s Map 29, Lot 63 Request for Determination of Applicability filed by Eric Moniz for the construction of a detached garage with associated driveway. The proposed garage falls within the 100-foot buffer zone to a wetland resource area with most of the proposed building and driveway falling outside the buffer zone. This property is located at Assessor’s Map 29, Lot 63.

2. SE 023-1408, CON 023-344: 481 Sconticut Neck Road, Assessor’s Map 29, Lot 027 Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation filed by Antone Arruda to review and verify the delineated wetlands. The location includes Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW) and is located at Assessor’s Map 29, Lot 27. 

Information regarding remote meeting access, listed above, will also be provided on the Conservation Agenda posted on the Town’s website at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. 

Copies of the applications listed in this hearing notice may be viewed at the Conservation Office in Town Hall, located at 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA.
