PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Acushnet Board of Selectmen will hold three public hearings at its meeting on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the meeting room in Town Hall, located at 122 Main St., Acushnet, MA.
• This hearing is on the petition Job # WO# 26808776 from NSTAR ELECTRIC COMPANY D/B/A EVERSOURCE ENERGY. Request permission to locate underground cables, conduits and manholes, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, in, under, along and across the following public way or ways: South Main Street / Hope Street. To install approximately 40’ (feet) of 1-4” PVC conduit from proposed Handhole 70/H12 at base of pole 70/12 to proposed Handhole 70/H12-A.
• This hearing is on the petition Job # WO# 26973732 from NSTAR ELECTRIC COMPANY D/B/A EVERSOURCE ENERGY AND VERIZON NEW ENGLAND, INC. Request permission to locate underground cables, conduits and manholes, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, in, under, along and across the following public way or ways: Gammons Road, Acushnet. To install 1 (one) new JO stub pole to be labeled 49/19-S in the Right of Way of Gammons Road.
• Notice is hereby given under Chapter 138, Section 15 of the MA General Laws to approve a Transfer of License for a liquor license application: Alcoholic Beverage Retail Package Store. The premises consists of three rooms of a one story building with stock in rear room at premises situated on the east side of Main Street and numbered 270 Main St., Acushnet, MA 02743.
