TOWN OF ACUSHNET
The Acushnet Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 122 Main Street Acushnet. VERIZON NEW ENGLAND INC. and NSTAR ELECTRIC COMPANY d/b/a EVERSOURCE ENERGY request permission to relocate poles, wires, cables and fixtures including the necessary anchors, guys and other such sustaining and protecting fixtures to be owned and used in common by your petitioners, along and across the following public way or ways:
MAIN STREET: Replace one (1) jointly owned pole numbered T.120/103 / E.120/103 on the Southeast side of Main Street at a point approximately thirty-six (36) feet Northeast from the existing pole numbered T.120/103 / E.120/103. The replaced pole will more particularly be located approximately twenty (20) feet Northeast of the intersection of Main Street and Evergreen Drive.
Reason: This work is required to provide for the distribution of intelligence and telecommunications and the transmission of high and low voltage electric current.
