ACUSHNET CONSERVATION COMMISSION 

PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Acushnet Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 122 Main Street, Acushnet, Massachusetts. 

• Public Hearing – Stormwater – AMN Estate Holdings LLC / 39 Keene Road A Stormwater Permit Application has been filed by AMN Estate Holdings for property located at 39 Keene Road, Map 2, Lots 16, 12G and 13B. The applicant proposes to construct a six-lot residential subdivision, including 702 liner feet of roadway with a cul-de-sac turnaround, on-site sewage disposal systems and private wells. The applicant is represented by John Marchand of Farland Corp. Plan name is “Drainage Map – Angelo Drive Subdivision” dated August 30, 2023, revised March 25, 2024.

• Public Hearing – NOI – NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy SE 001-XXXX A Notice of Intent was filed by NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy. The proposed work in the Town of Acushnet includes the construction of a new 115-kV overhead electric transmission line with the existing right-of-way between Eversource’s Industrial Park Tap in Acushnet west to the New Bedford/Acushnet municipal boundaries. The proposed activities include installation of 33 new 115-kV transmission line structures, installation of new 115-kV conductor, optical ground wire and shield wire, installation of stone and timber mat work pads and wire pulling pads, improvement/re-establishment of ROW access roads and installation of new access roads; Storm­water and Wildlife Habitat documents on file. The applicant is represented by Karen Hanecak of POWER Engineers, Inc.  Plan name is “Acushnet to Fall River Reliability Project” dated June 18, 2024.
