Fairhaven’s fourth annual Kids Fest got perfect weather on Saturday, 10/12/24, with light breezes, warm, but not hot, temperatures, and sunny skies. Children, many in costume, ran around taking in the sights, playing lawn games, and just enjoying the chance for an outdoor event.
The Carabiner’s climbing wall was a big hit, and pumpkin painting used up nearly all the free pumpkins donated by Barbosa’s farm. The Fairhaven Sustainability Committee held its costume swap and ran out of costumes.
Booths included food and sweets, craft vendors, and wandering characters, such as Ezekiel, the Green Wizard of the North, and his pet dragon Balthazar, a big hit with the kids.
The event was sponsored by the Millicent Library and the Fairhaven Recreation Department.
The Fairhaven Cable TV Department took photos of those willing and daring enough to pose with a life size skeleton…..ooooeeee… You can find them at www.FairhavenTV.com
