The fund-raiser for the Jackson family, which suffered a great loss after fire destroyed Jackson’s Variety and the family home, has been POSTPONED for 3/21. Organizers still hope to hold the event at a later date.
Meanwhile, they are still selling tickets so they can give the money to the Jackson family. The event will still be held at the Fairhaven VFW, 109 Middle St., Fairhaven, 508-997-1707, and will includ buffet dinner, music and dancing. Tickets: $20 per person. Get tickets from bartender at VFW, American Legion in Fairhaven, Bayside Lounge, Haircutters, Mac’s Soda Bar.
A devastating fire ripped through Jackson’s Variety on Sconticut Neck Road in Fairhaven on 2/3/20, destroying the building that housed the business and was also the home of owner Colin “Jack” Jackson and his wife Peggy.
