The Boys of Summer emerged from their hibernation on Sunday afternoon at Pope Park in Acushnet.
The Fairhaven/Acushnet 11U Bolts hosted the Brian Rose Baseball 11U Bulldogs for a pre-season scrimmage game on a perfect afternoon for baseball.
Temperatures were in the low 60’s, the sun was shining, and spirits were high as Spring was in the air. The crack of the bat, the chatter of both teams, the only thing missing was the smell of popcorn and cheeseburgers coming from the concession stand.
Here’s to a great season for both organizations. This warm-up to the season ended with the Bolts falling to the BRB team 10-1.
