Fairhaven’s Huttleston Marketplace ended its second season last Saturday, 9/14, and the Fairhaven Office of Tourism will cap off the season with seventh annual Harvest Fun Day (see back cover for ad) this Saturday, 9/21.
Huttleston MP is an outdoor bazaar featuring vendors selling select hand made arts and crafts, quality antiques and vintage collectibles, fresh farm produce, and locally prepared foods.
Most vendors said they had a good season and would return next year. The marketplace runs from June to September.
“It was fun,” said Allyn who teams up with Tim to sell antiques and collectibles. The said some weeks were better than others, but they definitely plan on returning next year.
Manuel Botelho sells handmade wood pens and said despit the wind and the weather, he did okay. He said he wished every weekend could be “outstanding,” but he will probably return next year.
The marketplace and this Saturday’s Harvest Fun Day are held on the west lawn of Fairhaven High School on the corner of Route 6 and Main Street. Harvest Fun Day will feature music, a tractor for children (of all ages) to climb on and take pictures with, activities for children including a bounce house, and much more. Harvest Fun Day runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 9/21, only.
