The Huttleston Motel is gone.
A judge ruled back in December that the motel had to stop renting to the public due to unsafe conditions, including a sagging roof, deterioration of the walls and a host of other problems and building code violations. The town had taken the owners to court to condem the building, which was built around 1947.
The property is owned by Gingera LLC, which was dismissed from the lawsuit.
On June 27, demolition crews started tearing down the building. In a few days, it was gone.
