It was a great first week for the Huttleston Markeplace, with about 30 booths set up, and more signed up for upcoming weeks.
The marketplace will be held every Saturday (except June 30) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Fairhaven Visitors Center, 141 Main Street. Offerings include: farm fresh produce, organic eggs, honey, baked goods, fresh guacamole, antiques and collectibles, soaps, balms, lotions, and herbs; henna and jagua temporary tattoos and face painting.
On the first week, three vendors sold out. Rockin’ Guac sold out twice. They left mid-day to make another batch and sold all of that, too.
“Just about all the vendors were very happy and there were many positive comments from the public,” wrote Fairhaven Director of Tourism, Christopher Richard. “I’m very happy about how it went.”
He added that three new vendors went by on Saturday to check it out and signed up on the spot. They’ll be there next week.
A list of vendors is posted at http://fairhaventours.com/huttleston-vendors-2018/. The list includes the dates that individual vendors plan to attend. If you’re a vendor interested in getting a booth, you can email Mr. Richard at FairhavenTours@ fairhaven-ma.gov or call 508-979-4085.
