Discover Fairhaven invites the community to step back in time for Huttleston HarborFest: A Medieval Faire, a day-long celebration of old-world charm by the sea, capped with a Hollywood highlight.
During daytime festivities 11:00 AM–4:00 PM at Grimshaw Park at Fort Phoenix, visitors can wander a bustling marketplace filled with artisan vendors, themed food and drink, live entertainment, medieval games, and hands-on activities for all ages. Expect knights, music, costumed performers, and plenty of coastal flair woven into this Renaissance-inspired gathering.
As the sun sets, the revelry continues. Evening festivities begin at 5:30 PM with food, drinks, and entertainment, including a fire performer to light up the night. Then at 7:00 PM, guests can enjoy a free outdoor screening of the hit film A Knight’s Tale on a jumbo screen under the stars. Adding to the excitement, the film’s Oscar-winning writer and director, Brian Helgeland, will be in attendance, flying in from Los Angeles to personally open his film!
The event will conclude around 9:15 PM, wrapping up a magical day that marks the grand finale of the first Huttleston HarborFest series.
“This is our big bang ending to HarborFest — a medieval celebration with a seaside twist,” said Alyssa Botelho, Tourism Director for the Town of Fairhaven’s Office of Tourism, Community & Economic Development. “We’re thrilled to bring together local artisans, performers, and food vendors for a day of fun, and to close out the night with such a unique opportunity for our community to meet Brian Helgeland and watch A Knight’s Tale together under the stars.”
Admission is free and all are welcome. Costumes are encouraged (with a contest at 3:30!), whether you come as a noble, a peasant, or even a dragon in disguise.
