Howe Allen Realty is proud to announce the opening of their new office in Fairhaven Center at 18 Center Street. Howe Allen Realty has been a presence in town since 2010, specializing in distinctive, historic and coastal homes.
The office space is designed to be a welcoming environment for its agents as well as the public. With a mix of antique and modern furnishings, the office is envisioned as a comfortable place for the public to stop in and interact with agents and staff.
The building is also the home of the George H. Taber Lodge, and was a gift of Henry Huttleston Rogers. Every building he built had some means of supporting itself financially, and the Taber Lodge building was no exception. It was built with a first floor commercial space. The rent collected by the lodge could go to help support the maintenance of the building. In the 1930’s the space was the showroom of a Ford dealership.
An open house for the public is scheduled on July 27th from 4–6 p.m.
