Horribles Parade includes adorables

The Norrh Fairhaven Improvement Association’s annual Halloween Horribles Parade drew hundreds to North Fairhaven. The group marched down Main Street from Benoit Square to the parking lot at St. Mary’s Church where costumes were judged and treats shared.

In a statement, the NFIA wrote: “Thank you to all of the volunteers and organizations who make this event possible. 

“Thank you to our judges Miss New Bedford Megan Sylvia, Miss New Bedford Outstanding Teen Kieyana Fleming and Miss Whaling City Teen Hannah Lima, Miss New Bedford Scholarship Program

“Thank you to Troop 52  Fairhaven, MA and Arnie Corsair from Umass Dartmouth for leading our parade along with the antique fire trucks from the Fairhaven Protecting Society driven by Alex Kuechler and Matt Paulson.

“Thank you to Fairhaven Emergency Management for providing a parade escort, lighting and support. 

Thank you to our prize, decoration and candy sponsors: Dr. Brian Bowcock, Galaxy Pizza House, Dorothy Cox Chocolates, J&L Beaulieu Farm Stand.

“Thank you to St. Mary’s Parish Fairhaven, MA for allowing us to take over their parking lot. 

And last but not least THANK YOU to the hardworking members of the NFIA for your continued support and dedication to making our events a success.”
