In collaboration with the Acushnet Senior Center and the Acushnet Fire Department, the New Bedford Fresh Start Program is sponsoring a hoarding remediation support group known as Buried in Treasures.
This support group is designed for individuals who struggle with hoarding disorder and/or individuals who are interested in learning how to support someone they know who struggles with hoarding disorder, such as spouses, children, family members, care givers, etc. Please keep in mind that those who join must commit to the entire length of the support group (roughly twenty weeks). While we understand the duration of the support group sounds like a long time, the program does fly by and members of the group form a bond in which helps to support each other during the process.
