Members of the Fairhaven Lions Club raised the flag of PFC John J. Conway on Veterans Day, 11/11/22, at the Charles F. Albaugh Memorial, at the 195 overpass on Main Street. The US flag there is surrounded by the flags of each branch of the military.
PFC Conway was killed in action in Vietnam on 3/17/67. He was a member of the 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 4th Regiment.
The Lions held a short ceremony attended by PFC Conway’s sisters, Fairhaven Lion Louise Quintin, and Kathleen Conway Hickman.
