Herring Festival grabs the only dry day to showcase nature

The Buzzards Bay Coalition held its fourth annual Acushnet River Herring Festival at the Acushnet Sawmill property on Saturday, 5/11/19. The free event featured live animal shows, canoeing and kayaking on the river and the pond, educational demonstrations, food by the Oxcart, and Toe Jam Puppet Band. The property, at 32 Mill Road in Acusnet, is a private park open to the public, owned by the BBC. To learn more about the BBC, visit http://www.savebuzzardsbay.org.
