Enjoy food, festivities and outdoor fun during the fourth annual Acushnet River Herring Festival on Satu., 5/11 from 12:00 to 4:30 p.m. at The Sawmill (32 Mill Rd., Acushnet). This family-friendly festival will celebrate the ongoing restoration of the Acushnet River during the annual river herring migration.
The Herring Festival is free and open to all. The event will feature live animal shows, fishing demonstrations, canoeing, guided walks, kids’ activities, a performance by the Toe Jam Puppet Band and more.
