As a result of ICE activity in our South Coast community, many families are suffering in fear and isolation, often without an income provider.
We can all help by contributing food and personal care items for Humanity at Work of New Bedford to distribute.

Most needed items: Personal care products: diapers, pull-ups and wipes; deoderant; shampoo and conditioner; toothbrushes and toothpaste; soap, body wash, loofa; hand sanitizer; hair brush, hair ties; feminine hygiene products.
Food items: Maseca (instant corn masa flour); corn meal; bulgur wheat; all purpose flour; corn flakes, frosted flakes, kids cereals; sugar; rice, jasmine rice (Goya); couscous; dry black beans/frijoles negros; dry red beaqns; dry chick peas; corn oil/aceite; olive oil; pasta; sardines; tuna; fruit juice; shelf-stable milk; chocolate powder; canned vegetables; potatoes and sweet potatoes; canned fruits; malta (soft drink); water; badia seasonings.

Do you want to DO SOMETHING? Get involved and support HUMANITY AT WORK in New Bedford! We are a grassroots group pooling funds for quick disbursement to the individuals and families being impacted by ICE actions in New Bedford.
Your generous donation provides:
• Linkage to community resources that provide financial support and access to critical services, including social and educational programs, food assistance, and advocacy.
• Short-term emergency financial assistance for youth and families impacted by the loss of a family member or provider due to deportation arrest. Assistance can be used for rent, utilities, cell phone bills, and more.
• Transportation to medical appointments, school, court dates, and other needs.
• Assistance with obtaining a driver’s license and other necessary documentation/certificates.
• Advocacy for students whose education is at risk.
• Provision of in-kind household resources for youth and families.
• Financial and in-kind services that are preventative measures against deportation risk.
• Financial and in-kind support for volunteers assisting with the above activities, as well as community safety.
