In celebration of Older Americans Month, Coastline Elderly Services, Inc. in collaboration with the Fairhaven Council on Aging, will host its annual Healthy Aging Fair on Wed., 5/30, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Fairhaven Recreation Center at 227 Huttleston Avenue in Fairhaven.
Over 70 vendors will display information and provide education on a host of services that are available in the community. Southcoast Mobile Van will be on site for free blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, and pneumonia vaccine. Elders will also be able to discuss their dietary needs with a nutritionist or meet with a pharmacist.
There is no charge to attend and lunch/refreshments will be available through the generosity of sponsors, Brandon Woods, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III, United Healthcare, and the Residence at Cedar Dell.
