The area’s best horribles, including ghouls, ghosts, beasts and beauties, converged upon North Fairhaven for the annual Halloween Horribles Parade on Sunday, 10/29. The parade started early to beat the rain, which upset some people who didn’t get the message, but a couple of hundred still managed to make it in time. Photo by Beth David.

The North Fairhaven Improvement Association managed to hold its annual Halloween Horribles parade on Sunday, 10/29, finishing up just as the rain started to come down. Due to the impending storm, organizers decided to start the parade at 3:45 instead of 5 p.m. The parade stepped off about 4 p.m.
Despite the change, hundreds showed up and filled Main Street, marching from Benoit Square to St. Mary’s Church parking lot for prizes and treats.
Some folks complained on Facebook that they did not get the message, but organizers said they thought it was better than cancelling the parade completely.
The storm turned out to be a doozy, dropping lots of rain and knocking out power throughout the region.
