Fairhaven Firefighters Association Local 1555 and Fairhaven Select Board chairperson Leon Correy, held the “Too Cool 4 School” event on Sunday, 8/27/23, offering free haircuts and school supplies to boys and girls.
“Huge thank you to Leon Correy for Fairhaven Select Board, and all of the sponsors for todays event!” wrote the FFA on its Facebok page. “Today we were able to make a difference in the community we serve. Great job by all involved in this event.”
Held at the Fairhaven Recreation Center, the Too Cool 4 School even also included a DJ.
“To say ‘Too Cool 4 School’ was a success would be an understatement,” wrote Mr. Correy on his Facebook page. “A sincere thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, family, friends and neighbors who selflessly donated to help make a difference in our community. We look forward to next year.”
