Calling all graduating high school seniors whose primary residence is in Fairhaven, Massachusetts!
The annual Enrique Goytizolo Scholarship is a $1500 scholarship for a Fairhaven resident high school graduating senior interested in studying history.
Students who apply should be interested in pursuing the study of history and have plans to matriculate to an accredited institution of higher learning in the fall. The scholarship is awarded by the Fairhaven Historical Society and honors Enrique Goytizolo’s dedication to preserving the history of the Town of Fairhaven and his vital and long-time leadership role with the Fairhaven Historical Society.

In addition to the application, students must submit an essay of no more than 400 words focusing on Fairhaven history, what it means to the applicant, and how that has impacted the applicant’s interest in the further study of history.
