Press Release

Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School proudly celebrated the Class of 2026 during its graduation ceremony, honoring the accomplishments, perseverance, and future promise of its graduating seniors.

The ceremony brought together students, families, faculty, staff, district leaders, and community members to recognize the graduates as they completed their high school journey and prepared to enter the workforce, military service, post-secondary education, apprenticeships, and other career pathways.

The Class of 2026 represents the mission of Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech: preparing students with the academic knowledge, technical skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in a changing world. Throughout their time at GNB Voc-Tech, students balanced rigorous academics with hands-on vocational training, industry experiences, extracurricular involvement, and service to the school community.

“This graduating class has shown determination, resilience, and growth,” said Superintendent-Director Michael Watson. “They leave Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech with more than a diploma. They leave with skills, purpose, and a foundation that will serve them in college, careers, the military, and life.”

The school also recognized the Class of 2026 Top 10 students: James Edminster, Mikayla Staples, Lucas Bulhoes, Jack Maciel, Sydney Raposo, Brooklynn Costa, Casey Pinheiro, Shelbie Ruffley, Daevin Hwang, and William Guillotte. These students earned distinction for their outstanding academic performance, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

The graduation ceremony served as a celebration not only of student achievement, but also of the families, educators, teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, and community partners who helped support the graduates along the way.

As members of the Class of 2026 move forward, they carry with them the values of hard work, responsibility, innovation, and service that define the Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech experience.
