Pickleball is here to stay! The courts at Fort Phoenix are officially open. See page 16 for details on how you can join in the fun.
Speaking of fun…coming up this weekend is the road race. After two years without it, Fairhaven’s road race is back on Sunday. See page 3 for details on how you can join in as a runner or a spectator.
The Buzzards Bay Swim is on Saturday, so you can go to both things. The swim ends at Fort Phoenix and it’s a real party, although it is a bit on the early side. They do have to close the harbor for it, so they dive in at 7:15. See details on page 3.
Town Meeting is also this weekend. See page 4 for a roundup of the articles. Your tax dollars at work!
Oh, speaking of which….the employee salaries are in this issue too (see page 19). But, I have to say we noticed a few goofs in the list.
And, a heads-up for my readers and especially anyone with an event coming up. We are taking our summer break soon. Next week is our last issue before we take two weeks off from publishing. We will NOT have paper on 6/30 & 7/7. Happy Independence Day!
Let’s hope for some good fishing weather.
Lots of summer stuff starting up, outdoor concerts, BBQs, motorcycle runs. Be sure to go through every page to find all the good stuff in here.
And, while you’re at it, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then (then NOT)
See ya
