This is it for awhile. This is our last issue of the year. Next issue is 1/9/25. Meanwhile, it’s Christmastime and New Year’s, and Hanukah falls on Christmas this year, and Kwanzaa and a couple of others.
So, Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Lots of great Christmas lights on houses this year, so be sure to get out there after dark and drive around. See page 5 for details on the Gellette Road lights and when Santa will be there.
I’ll see you next year! Starting with the Polar Plunge on the first (see page 5).
So, the Interim TA Screening Committee tells me I’m wrong about the Open Meeting Law (see page 3). I’m mulling over my options here. I do not believe the case they cite is the same thing, and I have arguments for the rest of it, too. However, we have to wait 30 days anyway, so, I’m thinking about it.
We have Interim TA finalists. The Select Board will interview them Monday. See page 4 for details on that. We won’t get that story to you in print until 1/9, but I’ll try to get something up, even if it’s just a quick couple of paragraphs, before then on the website.
And now, here we are just a few days before Christmas. I hope you are all able to do something fun that gets you in the spirit of the season. Check out ML’s snowcast on page 12 and maybe build a little anticipation into the equation.
In any case, I’ll be trying to keep the Christmas spirit and enjoy the holiday bustle right through the New Year, when it will be back to the grindstone.
So have fun, everyone…think hot chocolate, marshmallows, and mulled cider.
Until next year then, see ya
Glory to Ukraine!
