Okay, the long awaited minutes to the executive sessions pertaining to the big payout for the Fairhaven TA are finally here. And, guess what? They are bogus, bullshit minutes, clearly prepared by an attorney. Nowhere does it say what claims she might have on the town or who or IF that was even discussed.
And…how does $350K plus $11,753.55 equal $232,434.50? Well, there might actually be an explanation (see page 4), but you won’t find it in those minutes.
There’s nothing to explain what Attorney John Clifford said to the Select Board members to convince them to vote “yes,” and there’s nothing about the agreement itself, just the money, and even those numbers do not add up (literally, the arithmetic doesn’t work), see above.
Ah well, stay tuned.
The FHS football team almost did it two years in a row (see page 13), but this year the other guys got it. We’re so very proud of our guys, though, right? Getting to the high school Super Bowl and playing in Gillette Stadium. I mean, how cool is that? We wish the seniors good luck in college, and we can’t wait until next year to see what the team does next.
You know it’s close to Christmas when Benoit Square lights up (see page 12). Those kids were so cute (no, not you, Romano…I mean the actual kids).
This weekend is the Old Tyme Holiday Village in the center of town (see page 3). There will be all kinds of cool holiday stuff happening all day long. The event has been renamed, but it’s been going on for 26 years. This year has a bunch of new activities and food, too. So if you need a dose of the Christmas Spirit, this is the place to go.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. While you’re looking, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Oops…almost forgot. Next week is our last issue of the year before our winter break. So if you have any events to list, get them in ASAP.
Until next week then, see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
