Veterans Day is Tuesday. We have three parades you can choose from. Acushnet, Fairhaven, and New Bedford are all having parades. Acushnet’s will be on Saturday, not Tuesday. See page 3 for details. Try to get to one of them and line the route to show our veterans that we appreciate their service

Old Colony Voc-Tech is wanting to build a new school, to the tune of $288 million. Yeah, 288….not 28. My finger did not stutter. See page 11 for some details on that. All the member communities will vote on 11/18 to approve (or NOT) the spending.

I’m still just flabbergasted at the cost. I mean, really, are they using gold trim or something?

Marsh Island got reopened. See page 13 for some info on the project that restored the marsh. Should be fun to go hiking around there now.

Meanwhile, the Big Buffoon continues to use the National Guard like it’s his own personal army; sent intimidators in to interfere in the vote in California on Tuesday; and refuses to pay SNAP (food stamps) benefits to tens of millions of Americans, even though a court ordered it.

When will his supporters finally realize how he’s destroying our democracy more and more each day?

Oh, right stock market/401K, that’s all that matters.

The fact that we qualify as a country to stay away from because of human rights violations doesn’t bother his supporters either. Because they don’t think it will happen to them. But close to 200 American citizens have been snatched off the streets to get thrown in jail for days, simply because they look to be the right color, or they stood up for themselves or others. How said is that?

And to top it off, the House is still not in session, because they are cowards.

Ugh… Guess that’s it for now.
