It’s election time! Not our local seats, but close…our state seats. Early voting ends tomorrow. See page 3 for details.

So, this week, some yahoo told Google that we were permanently closed. I’m not sure how that happened exactly, but I fixed it. I have two words for you, whoever you are: Dream on.

The Select Board had a marathon meeting this week. See pages 11 and 14. Things are getting a little testy. Hee hee.

It’s budget season and everyone wants to be the hero to save us from ourselves. Honestly, there are two premises that I really, really wish people would just l leave behind. One, and I’ve mentioned it before, is that government should be run like a business. It should not. I’m not going into all the details right now, but suffice it to say that businesses are supposed to make a profit; municipalities are break even propositions, there to provide services using exactly what they need, no more, no less.

The other is: Please stop acting like town employees are burning government money by the bushel. They are not. Is there some waste? Probably. But that doesn’t mean it’s systemic or substantial. Sometimes, you can’t find it until it’s there…pretty profound, huh?

And the Big Buffoon is now just grunting. Really. Y’all screamed about Biden saying he had dementia? Your guy just grunts and they clap. Pathetic. But, hey, go after the guy with the Middle Eastern name, or the woman who dares to be bold.

It fell apart in Hungary; it fell apart in Brazil; it will fall apart here. Let’s hope it’s soon, though. The longer it takes, the harder it will be to get our country back to being the good guy. I miss being the good guy. I really do. “Truth, Justice, and the American Way,” was Superman’s motto. Now, it’s an oxymoron.

There’s other stuff in here, of course. Thumb through to find it all, and while you do that, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.

Until next week… see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!

PS: Don’t forget to set clocks back…wahwahwah!
