SPOOOOKY!

Our favorite time of year is here. We have 14 stops on our trail this year. We have a couple of new ones. A couple dropped out.

Ole Oxford Haunt is done. Alas…all evil things must come to an end. They had a good run over there on Oxford Street.

We’ll miss you, Manny & Crew!

But there are others…

See page 12 for the start of the trail.

And don’t forget the Off the Trail list on page 14, where you’ll find the Fairhaven Town Hall’s annual haunted party on Thursday, among others.

Planning Board had a popcorn worthy meeting (see page 4). I wish I had room to go into more detail, but alas…the Halloween Trail does take up a bit of real estate, y’know. I did my best to give you the flavor of it.

And…the big news….The chairperson, Diane Tomassetti, resigned. The Planning Director (yeah, that’s not his official title) also resigned.

Okay, Select Board members….here’s your chance to get that board back on track. Let me remind you that you have no obligation to appoint someone just because they were on the board once. Look for a philosophic change, please? Like, maybe, someone who does not plan to just say “yes” to every cockamamie building project that a property owner wants. Please pick someone who will think of the neighbors and not just the developers. It’s supposed to be hard to build stuff in a place that’s already built up.

And, here’s your chance, for those of you who have been watching this foolishness and wishing you could do something about it. Throw that hat in the ring. Go to the town website and fill out the form, or call the Select Board office to ask how else to do it.

PB is an elected board, so you’ll have to face the voters in April. Meanwhile, the Selectboard and Planning Board members will vote to appoint someone.

On another note…

Seven million people (or more) got out to protest against the Big Buffoon in the White House (see page 3). The same White House that he is literally tearing down. Really, the people’s house. The historic structure…oh “historic” doesn’t even come close to describing it…is getting torn in half, literally, to make way for one of the Big Buffoon’s vanity projects. He’s knocking down the East Wing to make room for a ballroom. Yeah, a ballroom.

Meanwhile, new reports reveal that the Big Buffoon’s crackdown on the worst of the worst immigrants has resulted in at least 170 American citizens being detained by ICE, some of them children.

Are we great yet?

There’s other stuff in here, of course. While you’re paging through, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.

Until next week, then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
