I am reminded of a line in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, “The Return of the King,” at the end, “The Scouring of the Shire,” when Merry tells Frodo that he can’t save the Shire by being “shocked and sad.”

I guess that’s where we are. Our government, our United States of America, led by our very own Big Buffoon in DC, literally invaded Chicago.

The used a Black Hawk helicopter to hover over a residential apartment building, an apartment building in the city, and they dropped down with ropes and big weapons and pulled everyone out of bed in the middle of the night. Everyone. From young kids to old people. Some had no clothes on at all. Most were in pajamas. The Government Goons marched them all outside, zip-tied, and detained them for hours.

Have you ever seen a Black Hawk in action, up close? I did once, sort of in action, anyway, at an air show demonstration some years ago. It was positively frightening. And I knew it was just a demonstration. I remember saying to someone: Imagine being in a small village in the Middle East somewhere when this big thing comes down on you and faces you and roars in front of you. Imagine…in our own country, in a residential neighborhood, in the middle of the night.

And this is before the Big Buffoon sent the National Guard in. This wasn’t even the military. It was the “militarized” law enforcement we hear so much about.

I am sick. Sick to my stomach.

I do not understand how anyone can still think this is okay. Our own government should not be attacking us. Especially not over…what…bad papers, maybe? Maybe not?

This only stops when enough people, regular citizens, make it stop. The Republican controlled Congress has lost its way. They have no courage. They don’t give a damn about anything except their own pocketbooks. The Democrats don’t have a damned clue what to do to stop the Big Buffoon.

It’s up to the people now.

But the orchestrators of this mess have been so good about making life so hard for regular people, that most regular people don’t have time to get out there and protest. That’s the plan. Get all the money at the top, let the rest of us scramble for crumbs and blame each other instead of blaming those at the top.

Somehow it’s working.

Why are we so mad that some people here with “bad papers” might get medical, which, by the way, keeps us all a little healthier? Why aren’t we mad that we have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars a year just to have insurance that might suck enough so that it still costs us thousands more just to get actual medical care?

Can we please stop blaming the wrong people? This isn’t the fault of “illegals” or lazy people on disability or welfare queens. It’s the fault of super-greedy rich people who will not pay their fair share.

I am sick. Sick to my stomach.
