By Beth David, Editor
Well, we have a little bit of a bare bones issue this week. I was sick this weekend and not able to get into my regular rhythm.
Of course, the pitchforks and torches are out on Facebook but, I think I’ll leave it there.
Ah, who am I kidding? I’m not leaving it there. I mean, you guys will love this.
First it’s: “The owner/editor is a leftist libtard! What a rag.”
Then (from someone calling himself “Giveme Liberty” PULEEZ, give ME a break): “The little commie propaganda with the trash views”
To…
get this…
Wait for it…
“You should see her launch a boat”
HAH! You’ve got me there, big guy. I am absolutely YouTube-worthy when I launch the “Little Water Buggy.”
I encourage any and all of my readers to immediately take out their cell phones when they see me drive up. Maybe you’ll make a ton of money. I know I’m totally addicted to Miami Boat Ramps, most likely so I can say at least I’m not as bad as those guys!
In any case, thank you for the laugh. I really needed it that day.
We do have lots of fun stuff in here, of course. Our cover story is an annual event that’s always lots of fun. See page 12 for the story and more pics of the fire hose cool down.
On page 13 you’ll find a story on Disability Pride Day at the beach; and Harborfest’s Dog Days of Summer.
And you can find out how to help an Acushnet boy reach his fund-raising goal to help kids with serious diseases on page 11.
And from our readers on pages 14, 19.
While you’re thumbing through, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week, then, see ya
