All-righty then… summer is officially kicking into gear.
The annual Acushnet Duck Race is this weekend, and the annual swim across the harbor, and a pride event.
We’re also going to have an adaptive fishing derby this Friday at Hoppy’s Landing, the first time for that. See page 3 for all of those events.
The Celtics will be having their turn at a parade through the streets of Boston (see page 7) after their cool-as-beans win on Monday to clinch the championship. Games are definitely more fun when you’re side is winning.
And…the kid is back! Well, we’ll have to stop calling her that after she becomes a doctor, right? I mean Elizabeth DaCunha. See page 11 for her latest dispatch.
Acushnet held its town meeting on Monday (see page 13), and it was smooth sailing. They zipped through those articles and wrapped it all up in less than an hour and a half.
And, the road race this year celebrated 50 years. Quite the run, huh? And still going strong. See page 12.
And last, but certainly not least, please be aware that we’ll have ONE more issue before our summer break. So if you have an event listing, get it in ASAP.
We’ll publish on 6/27, then I’m in lalaland for a few days.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. So, check out each and every page and be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then, see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
