It’s Memorial Day weekend, and there are lots of activities to choose from to commemorate the day. See page 3 for parades and other ceremonies to choose from in Acushnet, Fairhaven, and New Bedford.
If you live along the parade route, please take a minute to put a flag out. I encourage everyone to take the time to go and watch a parade, or attend one of the other events.
Fairhaven’s election is just a couple of weeks away (6/9). Besides the races for the various offices, voters will vote on three ballot questions, including a Proposition 2 1/2 override (see page 4). Even if you have a strict no-new-taxes policy and knee-jerk reaction to paying for stuff, I encourage you to read the article or watch the video. At least you’ll know what you’re voting against. Really, we can only cut so much before there’s nothing left.
And…speaking of elections. There is one more candidates night coming up (see page 5). Fairhaven Government Access TV needs your questions. C’mon… you know you have ’em.
There’s other stuff in here, of course.
But it’s time for nighty-night. I like to wait until I’m done with my work before I doze off. Just another difference between me and Dozy Don the Big Buffoon. Honestly, people, how can you trash Joe Biden with a straight face when your guy literally falls asleep in meetings…on camera?
And I don’t want to hear another word about Hunter Biden and the one job he got that you think he wasn’t qualified for. The Big Buffoon took the whole f’g Trump Corp. to China and you guys are okay with it. Insider stock trading? No biggie. Billions in crypto currency? Seems legit, right? And now he’s giving payouts to convicted criminals. Don’t argue, I saw the same January 6 footage you saw. I just let my brain proces it like a normal human, instead of listening to a guy telling me not to believe my own lying eyes.
There’s plenty of other stuff in here. While you’re looking for it, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
