Wow! We’re publishing our 200th Frankie column this week (page 10). That is quite the milestone.

Over the years, I’ve had a few people try to start a column, but they never get through more than a few. Some, honestly, never wrote a single one.

But Geneva, aka, Frankie, has written a column for every single issue starting 200 issues ago.

Congratulations Geneva. And, now they have a book (Geneva and, you know, Frankie), that is a compilation of the columns. A little doggie told me they are working on a second book.

We have meeting coverage for you this week (see page 3). The mysteries around the Select Board’s executive sessions were more interesting than the open session. Geesh. Here we go again.

We also have candidate statements this week. See Planning Board on page 12. We should have School Committee next week.

Fairhaven has four contested races this election cycle. That’s great. It spurs debate, it makes people work for the the privilege of making decisions that affect the whole town.

Unfortunately, Acushnet (page 7) has no contested races this year. That is disappointing.

We changed the clocks this Sunday, and it’s a whole new world. I love the days after Daylight Saving Time kicks in. The world is brighter at lunch time, brighter at dinner time. I’m not a big fan of the change in the fall, but it does make this mid-March thing so much better.

There’s other stuff in here, of course (can you say St. Patrick’s Day parades?). While you explore, please notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.

Until next week then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
