Mike Silvia has always served town well
I first met Mike Silvia as a fellow member of the Fairhaven Finance Committee and through his friendship with my brother John back in the 90’s.
I appreciate Mike’s vast knowledge of history and politics. In addition, his ability to thoroughly research issues and facts as a Finance Committee member and as a Selectman has always served the town well. Most importantly Mike’s kindness and humanity to all of the Fairhaven residents he served while on various boards has been inspirational.
I think most residents would agree that Mike has always been fair, considerate and attentive to the concerns of others. Mike does not subscribe to a deep seated ideology, personal agenda or preconceived opinion. He uses logic and reason when making decisions on issues concerning the town and has never let personalities cloud his judgment.
I recall one particular instance regarding Hoppy’s Landing where during a heated debate Mike’s polite and calming demeanor helped resolve the situation to a fair and logical conclusion. Along with Mike’s integrity and professionalism is his ability to relate to others with respect.
It is because of these qualities that I enthusiastically support Mike Silvia for the Board of Health.Much more importantly, it is an honor for me to call him my friend.
