OMG, it’s tomorrow!! Tuesday meetings are a killer. See page 4 for the Select Board meeting, and our new police chief recommendation. However, nothing is as simple as it seems in this burg.
And the FEAST is this weekend. Okay, not our biggest little feast, but the big daddy of them all (see page 3). The New Bedford Feast is a warmup, right? HAH.
Our cover story is a fun one. It was great fun at the senior center at the diverseabilities event. Lots of fun stuff for everyone, some free stuff, some food, lots of information. See page 12 for that. And be sure to check out the cover photo. If you see Leo, let him know you saw his picture.
Some young’uns saved a baby opossum not too long ago. They spotted the little crittter, which was obviously orphaned, and they took action to get help to the little guy. See page 13 for that.
And coming up, between this issue and the next, is the 40R public hearing (see page 17) on Wednesday. That’s after deadline for next week, but we’ll get it in after that. This is a biggie, folks. It could change the town in big ways, so get informed so you can decide if it’s a good change or a bad one. Town Meeting will have to approve it in any case. That meeting is in November, so you have plenty of time to learn all about it.
There’s a lot of other stuff in here, of course, including lots of happenings. Make sure you notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
There’s still plenty of summer left, so be sure to get out there and enjoy the sun and surf.
Until next week then, see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
