• Saturday, October 10 @ 12 pm – IN THE WHALE – The Greatest Fish Story Ever Told – a feature-length film about a Cape Cod lobster diver who was swallowed by a whale and lived to tell the tale, followed by an exclusive Q&A with the director, David Abel. Space is limited; registration is required.
• Monday, October 19 @ 2 pm – Movie Matinee – You, Me & Tuscany, rated PG-13, 1 hr. 45 min.
At Mattapoisett Library
The following events are being held at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, 7 Barstow St., 508-758-4171. Accessible. Register at online at www.mattapoisettlibrary.org,
• Get into the October spirit with a spooky film, “The Cat and the Canary,” On October 13th at 6pm. Can a group of distant relatives survive the night in a haunted house to learn the secret of a madman’s will? Remember: in silent film, no one can hear you scream! Registration is optional– but priority will be given to those who have registered.
• Sunset Cinema Movie Showing on the MFPL Lawn on October 21st at 6pm. We will be showing “Scooby Doo” (2002). Bring a blanket, chairs to lounge on, and some snacks, to fully enjoy the movie experience! This event is designed for community members of all ages, no registration required.
